TODAY IS THE HOTTEST DAY IN HOUSTON OF 2009.
94 feels like 98
94 feels like 98
It has been a little over 4 weeks since I have moved back to my beautiful hometown from the thriving metropolis that is Waco, Texas. Eh...not so much, but Waco was great to me and I miss it a lot, actually. I like to think fondly of the four years I spent there and I'm sure my friends and family are getting tired of me ranting about how Waco has much more to offer in terms of dining and happy hour specials. In a previous post I mentioned how I have been "working" for my dad since I've been back. Many of you ask, "what else have you been doing?" or "aren't you bored without your friends?".
So here it is, the answer to your questions...this is what I have been up to LATELY:
- Although I've taken over 2 other bedrooms at my dad's to increase storage/closet space and am almost out of storage alternatives, I cannot help but expand my wardrobe. Houston summer's demand cute shorts and tees like these that I recently purchased at jcrew.com:
- Taking advantage of my Sephora Insider deals and trying new makeup samples.
- Catching up all of the movies I have been wanting to rent at Redbox. I recommend "W". Even if you are not a fan of President Bush, the movie gives an accurate portrayal of his life before his presidency and the events leading to his decision to invade Iraq.
- Exploring the Houston night life.
- Running!
- Watching shows on Hulu while at work.
- Keeping up with Baylor friends and re-connecting with friends from home.
- Attending church weekly with Jesse.
- Planning mine and Jesse's alphabet dates. First up, the art museum after church on Sunday!

ReplyDeleteI just stumbled on your bog while I was killin' time (I should really be cleaning the house) and I saw you're a Baylor girl! Go Bears...my hubby and I both graduated from there in '97 - seems like just yesterday. It goes so fast - enjoy every moment!!!
