It seems as though our alphabet dating has come to a standstill. There are so many "D" things we wanted to do that we've decided to get them all out of our system before we move on to "E". I am sure this breaks the alphabet dating rules somehow but we're doing it anyway.
On Friday night, Jesse and I went to Studio Grill for dinner and a movie. My brother had told me about how neat the place was and we knew we needed to upgrade the Alamo Drafthouse for a classier dining/theater experience. "D" became dinner & a movie, a classic dating choice. We decided on Bruno, expecting to laugh harder than we did for Borat but left feeling violated and offended. It takes a lot to offend Jesse and let me tell you, he was VERY offended after watching the movie. "D" then took the form of "disturbing dinner & a movie". After wards, we met up with John and Ashley at Howl At The Moon, a bar in the Midtown area. Initially, I felt uncomfortable being in a place full of people in their 30's and watching them go crazy on the piano bar and playing thumper in the corner. I still need to adjust to the city life and being around people of all ages; not expecting the same pastel filled scene at the local college hangout.
People watching there was our entertainment for the night and we ended up having a great time. We still, however, felt the D date was a bust and felt we could have done so much more with it...which takes us to this weekend, D date part II. We have quite a few options for this weekend:
Free Salsa Dancing Lessons at the Aquarium during "Latin Beats". This will REALLY be Jesse and I doing something different!

Or Mixer & Elixirs at the Houston Museum of Natural Science on Friday night. It's $15 to get in and you can enjoy live entertainment and food amongst the dinosaurs. There's a cash bar and for $8 more you can watch a movie in the planetarium.

Check out how much fun everyone is having around the well lit dinosaur!I've been wanting to go to both all summer long...we might just do both Friday night! In other news, I saw that my first law school assignment is online and waiting for me to get started on. I'm so excited to finally be able to learn ONLY about subjects that I'm interested in. I am a little nervous though, the assignment stated that if your last name begins with the letters A-C then you should be fully prepared to lead the discussion in class. Uh-oh...that means ME! Yikes! I have exactly 5 weeks to prepare myself to get called on and I want to make sure I impress my Criminal Law professor...maybe I should start now? No way, it's SUMMER! I'll start after my trips to El Salvador and Thailand (keeping my fingers crossed on that one).
