Fact: There are 49 verses that have the word "friend" in the Bible

Faithful are the wounds of a friend,
But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
Prov 27:6

I have 50 days left until I walk across the stage and receive that fancy piece of paper I've been working so hard for for the past four years. It's really sad to think that this chapter of my life is coming to an end; but with it I'm leaving a lot behind that I really don't want in my life anymore. Clutter. College has taught me a lot about relationships, communication, faith, trust...about life in general. And as this chapter is swiftly coming to and end, I am faced with these truths:

(1) people are not always what they seem
(2) give all you can, and you will still get trampled on by those that never cared about you in the first place
(3) the people that really care about you will be there no matter what happens and you may not even realize they are there...those are "your people" (as referred to in Grey's Anatomy tonight).

Seeing as I'm out the door in less than two months, the first two realities I have encountered recently are not ones I thought would be happening in this moment in time. And surprisingly, I'm not talking about Jesse. I have learned that friendships can hurt and bruise just as terribly as intimate relationships - sometimes more. With all the negativity surrounding me lately, I can only focus on the positives: genuine friendships, laughter, amazing family, my shows, and the million other things our great Lord has blessed me with!

(Taken through my windshield after a long day on campus)

There is always a beautiful rainbow at the end of every storm!
